What is Fenbendazole ?
Fenbendazole is a broad spectrum benzimidazole anthelmintic used against gastrointestinal parasites including roundworms,hookworms, whipworms, the taenia species of tapeworms, pinworms, aelurostrongylus, paragonimiasis, strongylesand strongyloides and can be administered to sheep, cattle,horses, fish, dogs, cats, rabbits and seals.
Usage:
For Sheep:
It is efficient for treating imageo and larva of haemonchosis, ostertagia, trichostrongyle, cooperia, nematodirus, trichuris and dictyocaulus. It has good effec in treating moniezia expansa and M.benedeni. It needs large dose for trematode.
For Cattle:
The expelling spectra of cattle is almost similar to that of sheep, need large dose for trematode. It has good effect in treating imago of fasciola hepatica and schistosomula of bovine paramphistomum.
For Horse:
It has good effect in treating parascaris equorum, imago and larva of oxyuris equi, Pprobstmayria vivipara, strongylus vulgaris.
For Pig:
It has good expelling parasite effect in treating imago and larva of ascaris suum, hyostrongylus rubidus, and oesophagostomum.
For Dog & Cat:
It has obvious effect in treating ancylostoma caninum, trichuris, and roundworm of dog. Also is effect in treating roundworm, hookworm and tapeworm of cat.
For Wildlife:
Deer and other birds of prey.
Fenbendazole is a benzimidazole type insect repellent, which not only has high insect repellent activity against adults and larvae of gastrointestinal nematodes, but also has good effects on nematodes, flukes, and tapeworms, as well as strong egg killing effects.
